Openwork ornaments in waterjet-cut tantalum. Several circles – the drop set with mandarin garnet, the upper part set with almandine, both from the same garnet family, bold orange below and deep purple above – stack into a dense yet airy ornament on the ear. The stones sit on a high-gloss polished gold bowl, so the colors are also reflected forward around the stones through the tantalum lattice. Despite its size, the drop remains remarkably light. An evening earring that showcases technique and color in equal measure. These earrings can also be combined with the somewhat larger upper pieces available in the shop.
